What the account gives you (and what it doesn't)
Global66 is a Latin American fintech. From the app you open a Global Account with balances in several currencies —Latin American ones, dollars and euros— and you can send, receive and convert.
What matters for this guide:
- Routing number + USD checking account to receive from the United States (ACH or wire).
- EUR IBAN to receive SEPA transfers.
- International transfers, P2P between Global66 users, and —if it's enabled for you— a card to spend with.
What it is not: a bank with a branch on your corner, nor a guarantee that any platform in the world will have a dropdown that says "Global66". You use the details as if they were a US or European account.
The help center states that receiving dollars and euros with those details is available for individuals and companies in Chile, Colombia and Ecuador, and individuals only in Argentina and Peru, with no maintenance fees. Mexico is on the list of countries where the app exists; whatever IBAN/routing features get enabled for you, confirm them inside your account. Rules change: the app's screen rules.
What you need on hand
Before installing anything:
- A physical, valid ID document (national ID or passport).
- A phone number that can receive SMS.
- An email you actually check.
- Being over 18 and residing in a country where Global66 operates.
- Decent lighting for the selfie. KYC fails more often because of a blurry photo than because of the document itself.
Verification isn't an app whim: without it, you can't receive money from third parties.
Step by step: from download to first payment
1. Download the Global66 app
App Store or Google Play. The official sign-up and KYC flow runs on your phone. Come in through the referral link so the new-user benefit gets tied to your account.
2. Create your account
Email, strong password, personal details. The country has to be where you'll actually operate, not "whichever gives me a better exchange rate". Lying about your country of residence is the dumbest way to lose the account later.
3. Verify your identity
Global66 asks for, at minimum:
- A photo of the physical document (front and back if applicable).
- A phone number.
- A verification selfie.
It can take minutes or a couple of business days if they ask for another shot. Don't try to receive a large payment the same day you register: wait for the email or the "verified" status in the app.
4. Open your USD or EUR details
Once the account is verified, go to the Global Account section in dollars or euros and copy the receiving details:
- In USD: routing number, account number, holder (your name), checking type.
- In EUR: the IBAN and the rest of the SEPA details the app shows.
Check that the holder's name matches that of whoever will pay you. A client transferring to "your brand" instead of your legal name is a bounced payment.
If your country/profile doesn't show an IBAN or routing number, it isn't "hidden": that capability isn't enabled for you. Don't make up another user's details.
5. Share the details and get paid
Give whoever pays you exactly what the app shows. If you're the one sending from another bank, copy and paste; don't rewrite it from memory.
The times Global66 publishes:
- ACH (within the US): 1 to 3 business days, free to receive.
- Wire / FedWire: about 1 business day.
- SEPA (euros): up to 2 business days.
When the money lands, it's in dollars or euros. Converting to your local currency is another step, at the exchange rate of the moment. If you don't need local currency today, leave it in dollars or euros —that's exactly the point of the diversification post.
Three mistakes that delay the first payment
- Sending the details before being verified. The money has nowhere to land properly, or it hangs in limbo.
- Requesting an international SWIFT "to any US bank" without confirming that route is covered. ACH and SEPA are not the same as a SWIFT from any country. Ask whoever pays you how they'll send it, and cross-check with what your receiving screen allows.
- Converting everything to local currency the same day "just in case". If the payment is in dollars and your expense is in dollars, converting and reconverting is donating spread.
Frequently asked questions
In which countries can I open Global66?
Chile, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Mexico and Ecuador. IBAN/routing isn't identical in all of them; check your app.
Does opening the account cost anything?
Opening it, no. Maintaining those receiving details, according to them, no either. Conversions and transfers can cost.
Does Amazon or another platform officially accept Global66?
You use real bank details, not a Global66 logo in a form. Test with a small payment. Amazon Affiliates is a separate case.
How long does a dollar or euro take to arrive?
ACH 1–3 business days, wire ~1, SEPA up to 2. Don't treat it as instant.
In short
- Global66 gives you a multi-currency account and, if your profile allows it, details to receive USD and EUR like a local account.
- No identity verification, no receiving. Document, phone, selfie.
- Copy the details from the app, not from an old Twitter screenshot.
- Your first serious payment deserves a test payment.
If you get paid from abroad and still go through the corner bank "because you already know it", try a small deposit. The paperwork is the app; the savings show up on the second payment.

Frequently asked questions
In which countries can I open Global66?
Global66 is available to users in Chile, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Mexico and Ecuador. The USD/EUR account with local details (routing number or IBAN) is not identical everywhere: individuals and companies in Chile, Colombia and Ecuador; in Argentina and Peru, the help center describes it for individuals. Check inside the app what's enabled for you.
Does opening the account cost anything?
There is no sign-up cost. Global66 states that receiving dollars and euros with those details carries no maintenance fees. Conversions, cards and transfers can carry a fee or spread: check them in the app before moving a large amount.
Does Amazon or another platform 'officially accept' Global66?
You'll almost never see the Global66 logo in a marketplace's form. What you use are real bank details (a USD checking account, an EUR IBAN). The payment comes in as a normal transfer. If the amount matters, test with a small payment first. I documented the Amazon Affiliates case separately.
How long does a dollar or euro take to arrive?
According to Global66's help center: ACH in the US 1 to 3 business days (free to receive); wire (FedWire) about 1 business day; SEPA in euros up to 2 business days. In practice, some payments drag. Don't schedule an expense on the exact deposit day.
