What software makes sense to buy here
Eneba is not Microsoft or NordVPN. It's a marketplace: verified sellers list keys. You compare, pay, and redeem the code where it belongs.
In the Software category you'll usually find:
- VPNs (NordVPN, Surfshark and similar): a code with a duration and device count. You activate it on the provider's website.
- Office / productivity suites: keys for specific versions (Home and Student, Pro Plus, etc.). It's not "Microsoft 365 forever" unless the listing says so.
- Windows: often OEM or retail, sometimes with the clean install only fine print.
- Antivirus, utilities, gift cards for services you use for work.
For running a small team, the best value is usually a VPN + the suite your people already use. Cheap Windows is tempting; it's also where most people get burned by not reading the key type.
OEM, retail and subscription: not the same product
Before looking at the price, look at what you're buying:
| Type | What it means, in short |
|---|---|
| Subscription / VPN code | Duration (months or years) and a device quota. You activate it on the official site. When it expires, it expires. |
| Retail | Usually allows reinstalling for the same type of use described in the listing. Keep reading the notice. |
| OEM | Meant for one machine. For Windows, many offers warn that they only work on a clean install, not for upgrading a previous copy. |
| Gift card | Balance at another store (Microsoft, Google Play, etc.). It has a region too. |
The classic mistake: buying "cheap Windows 11", trying to use it as an upgrade from 10, and discovering the listing said clean install. The second mistake: buying Office Home and Student for a workflow that needs the commercial edition.
If the listing doesn't make the type clear, don't pay. There's another offer right next to it.
Step by step: from the Software category to the activated program
1. Go to Eneba Software
Open Eneba with the 5% discount and go to Software, not games. The search bar works too: "NordVPN", "Office", "Windows 11", the name of the utility.
Create your account if you don't have one yet. You don't need a card to sign up.
2. Pick the license type
Confirm three things on the listing:
- Product and edition (Standard vs Pro, Home vs Pro Plus, 1 device vs 10).
- Duration, if it's a subscription.
- Where it activates (the manufacturer's website, not Steam).
If you're putting together a workflow —remote, clients, shared files— a decent VPN and a suite that opens everyone else's documents solve more than a 9-dollar Windows with fine print.
3. Read region and activation
Just like with games, the region label rules. GLOBAL can have exceptions. A "GLOBAL" VPN sometimes specifies which country the code can be activated in; don't assume "global" = your country.
Read:
- The region label.
- The important notice.
- The activation instructions (usually a link like
nordvpn.com/activateor Microsoft's flow).
If you have a VPN on while shopping, turn it off or confirm the region manually. Eneba warns that a VPN can interfere with location detection and make you pick the wrong product. Yes: you turn off the VPN to buy the VPN. It's absurd and it's the right advice.
4. Compare sellers and pay
Several offers for the same product. Don't just pick the lowest price. Look at the seller's rating, the edition and the checkout total.
Pay. The code stays in your Eneba library.
5. Activate on the official site
Copy the code and redeem it on the manufacturer's website, following that listing's instructions. Eneba doesn't install the program for you.
When the redemption works, the software is tied to your provider account (VPN, Microsoft, etc.). Keep the confirmation email.
If the key doesn't activate
Don't post the code in a group "in case it's useful to someone".
- Screenshots of the error, of the key in your library (without pasting it into Discord) and of the region.
- A ticket with Eneba support.
- Don't expect a refund for "I changed my mind" if you already revealed the key. There may be a path if the code is used or doesn't match what was listed.
Frequently asked questions
Does Eneba sell software or only games?
Both. Software activates on the manufacturer's site; games, on Steam or the console.
Can an OEM Windows key be used to upgrade from Windows 10?
Often not. If the listing says clean install only, it's a clean install.
Is a VPN subscription the same as a Windows key?
No. Duration, devices and reinstall rules differ. They're on the listing.
Can I use these licenses in a business?
It depends on the manufacturer's license, not on Eneba. Home/Student is not a volume license.
In short
- On Eneba, software is bought just like a game: marketplace, region, seller, code.
- What changes is the license type. OEM, retail and subscription are not improvised.
- For a small team, a VPN and the suite your people already use are usually the useful purchase. Cheap Windows, only if you accept the fine print.
- You activate on the official site. Eneba only delivers the key.
👉 Buy software on Eneba with 5% off
If you're putting together a project's stack and still paying list price for every utility, start with the one you use most. One well-read license beats five badly redeemed offers.

Step-by-step guide
Go to Eneba Software
Use the 5% off link and open the Software category, not the games one.
Pick the license type
VPN, Office, Windows or another utility. Check whether it's OEM, retail or subscription.
Read region and activation
GLOBAL isn't always universal. The instructions say where to redeem it.
Compare sellers and pay
Check rating, edition and the final price. The code lands in your library.
Activate on the official site
Redeem on the manufacturer's website (NordVPN, Microsoft, etc.), not inside Eneba.
Frequently asked questions
Does Eneba sell software or only games?
Both. The Software category has keys for VPNs, office suites, Windows, antivirus and other utilities. The flow is the same as with a game: you pay on Eneba and redeem the code on the manufacturer's platform.
Can an OEM Windows key be used to upgrade from Windows 10?
Often not. Many OEM Windows listings on Eneba warn 'clean install only' (a clean installation, not an upgrade). Read the notice on that specific offer before paying: if it says clean install, don't use it for an in-place upgrade.
Is a VPN subscription the same as a Windows key?
No. A VPN is usually a code you activate on the provider's website, with a duration (3 months, 1 year, 2 years) and a device count. Windows or Office can be OEM, retail or subscription, each with different rules. The product type is stated on the listing.
Can I use these licenses in a business?
It depends on the license, not on Eneba. A Home/Student key is not a volume license. If you're going to use it on a work machine, read whether it's for one device, for N devices, or for personal use. When in doubt, pick the edition the manufacturer marks as commercial.
