How would you describe them in a few lines? Age, location, job and what sets them apart.
What do they want to achieve? What would make them feel successful?
What keeps them up at night or wastes their time and money today?
Where do they get information and who do they listen to? Which platforms do they use every day?
What holds them back before buying? What doubts or fears do they have?
What do they compare and what convinces them? Who else has a say?
What would you tell them in one sentence so they feel you’re talking to them?
Which product or service solves their problem, and how do you present it?
How do they find out you exist, and what do you do so they find you?
What do they need to see or know to compare you with other options?
What helps them take the step and buy from you?
Create a persona and pick an avatar, a name and something they would say. The profile has five blocks about who they are (profile, goals, pain points, channels and objections) and three about how to reach them (key message, how they decide and what you offer). Write short ideas, one per note. Everything is optional, and you can rename or hide any block you don’t need.
Below the profile is the action plan, with the three customer stages: discover, consider and decide. For each stage, write down the main channel and up to six actions. Mark each one as to do, in progress or done, and come back to update them as you go.
If you’re not sure where to start, load an example and edit it. You can save up to 12 personas, duplicate them to try variations and download each profile as PNG or PDF. Everything stays in your browser.

It’s a semi-fictional picture of your ideal customer: who they are, what they want, what frustrates them and where they spend their time. It helps you shape your messages, your offer and your channels around one specific person instead of “everyone”. You build it from what you know about real customers: conversations, surveys and sales.
One to three is usually enough to start. Only create a new persona when their problem, the way they decide or their channels are genuinely different. If two profiles say almost the same thing, they’re probably one. The tool saves up to 12 in case you work with several clients or projects.
In B2C you describe someone who buys for themselves: age, habits, emotions and social channels. In B2B you describe the person who decides or influences a purchase inside a company: job title, team goals, budget objections and who else is involved. The profile works for both; the “How they decide” and “Objections” blocks matter more in B2B.
Only in your browser, on this device. Nothing is sent to a server or added to the page address. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, they’re gone, so download the PNG or PDF to keep them.
Take the customer segments block of your Canvas and pick the most important segment: that’s your first buyer persona. From the Canvas tool you can create the profile with that segment already filled in, then complete the goals, pain points, channels and objections with what you know about those customers.
